Around the world, the lotus has been a lasting symbol of rebirth, spirituality, and beauty. In Spring Dreams, on view at Monaco's Gildo Pastor Centre from 1 – 26 September, Ana Tzarev celebrates these sacred blooms through lively explorations of texture, hue, and scale. Featuring 11 of the artist's signature large-scale oil works, Spring Dreams captures the vitality of the season through energetic strokes and an exuberant palette. The pieces selected for this exhibition are among Tzarev's most recent paintings, with all works created between 2013 and 2014. Tzarev's body of work is inspired by her fascination with universal and historical associations of flowers. Spring Dreams invites viewers to both reflect on the diverse cultural meanings of the lotus and, through interacting with her art, develop their own.
